MDI Girls Soccer Shutout in Hampden 8-0
It was a beautiful night for soccer albeit cold on Tuesday, October 27th as the Hampden Broncos Girls Soccer Team played host to MDI under the lights and the Broncos came away with a 8-0 victory.
Hampden got on the scoreboard with just 3:40 elapsed, when Bella McLaughlin found the back of the net. She scored her 2nd goal with 28:08 remaining in the 1st Half. Maya Brown made it 3-0 scoring with 4:37 remaining in the 1st Half.
Hampden outshot MDI 16-0 in the 1st Half.
In the 2nd Half, Hampden scored 3 goals within 7 and 1/2 minutes. Brown scored her 2nd goal of the game with 37:54 remaining, then Libby Hughes scored with 34:14 remaining before Brown scored her hat-trick with 30:27 remaining to make it 6-0
Eliza Parker scored with 24:18 left before Aurelia Maietta scored the final goal with 7.3 seconds left in the game
Hampden outshot MDI 13-6 in the 2nd Half.
MDI has 2 games remaining. They will play in Blue Hill against GSA on Thursday, October 29th and then finish the season on Monday, November 2nd at 5:15 against Ellsworth at Del Luce Stadium.
