MDI Girls Down Caribou 47-39
The MDI Girls took the long road up Interstate 95 on Saturday, December 28th, beating the Caribou Vikings 47-39 in Caribou. MDI was led by Elena Alderman with a career high 20 points
MDI jumped out to a 11-7 lead in the 1st Quarter. Alderman had 9 points including 2 3-pointers. Elizabeth Jones scored MDI's other 2 points. For Caribou Paige Espling had 5 points and Ashlyn Bouchard 2 points.
In the 2nd Quarter, Caribou outscored MDI 14-12 and the Trojans had a 2 point lead at the end of the 1st Half, 23-21. Alderman had 7 points for MDI with her 3rd 3-pointer of the game. Olivia Gray had a 3-pointer and Leah Carroll 2 points. For the Vikings Bouchard had 12 points with 2 3-pointers and Espling had the other 2 Caribou points.
In the 3rd Quarter, MDI outscored Caribou 12-9 to make the score 35-30. Olivia Gray had 5 points with her 2nd 3-pointer. Rachelle Swanson had a 3-pointer and Alderman and Jones each had 2 points. For Caribou Taylor LaBreck had 3 points, Bouchard a 3-pointer and Espling 2 points.
In the 4th Quarter MDI outscored Caribou 12-9. Swanson and Jones each had 4 points for MDI, while Carroll and Alderman each had 2 points. For the Vikings Bouchard sank her 4th 3-pointer of the game. Selena Savage and Taylor LaBreck each had 3 points.
MDI was led by Elena Alderman with 20 points while Olivia Gray and Elizabeth each had 8 points. MDI was 3-6 from the free throw line.
Caribou was led by Ashlyn Bouchard with 20 points while Paige Espling had 9 points. The Vikings were 6-8 from the free throw line.
