Coach Mark Shields Discusses MDI Football Season Preparations

MDI High School Football Coach Mark Shields joined WDEA's Chris Popper for the inaugural Football Coach's Show of the 2025 season.

The Trojans started 2-a-days on Monday, August 18th and Coach Shields talked about practice, and setting of expectations.

The Trojans had 29 players show up for practice on the 18th, and good news, all 29 were back in the weight room on Tuesday, August 19th for the 2nd day of practice.

Coach Shields talked about how quickly the season goes, and what they will be working on in practices.

MDI will host a controlled scrimmage with Bucksport on Monday, August 25th at 4 p.m. and then play an exhibition game at Stearns on Friday, August 29th before opening the season at Houlton on Friday, September 5th at 7 p.m.
