MDI Boys Soccer Upsets Hermon 3-0

The 9th seeded MDI Boys Soccer Team upset Hermon 3-0 Friday afternoon, October 19th in a Class B prelim game in Hermon.

MDI started the scoring with a goal from Oliver Johnston with an assist from Reider Watson with 9:57 gone in the 1st Half. The 1st Half ended with MDI up 1-0.

In the 2nd Half, MDI added insurance goals, with Leao Nelson scoring unassisted  with 17 minutes gone in the 2nd Half, and then added 1 more, when Derek Collins found the back of the net with an assist from Deandre Reid with 6:14 remaining in the game.

Nate Philbrook was in goal for the Trojans.

MDI now, 6-7-2 will travel up to play the top seeded Caribou Vikings on Tuesday, October 23rd. Caribou has a record of 12-1-1. MDI and Caribou played on September 22nd and Caribou beat the Trojans 6-1.

Hermon finishes the season with a 6-6-3 record.
