MDI Boys Fall to Old Town 63-45 [STATS]

The Old Town Coyotes Boys Basketball Team remained undefeated after beating the MDI Boys Basketball Team 63-45 at Mackenzie Gymnasium in Old Town on Thursday, January 19th.

Old Town led 9-4 at the end of the 1sf Quarter and 28-17 at the end of the 1st Half. After outscoring MDI 20-11 in the 3rd Quarter, the Coyotes led 48-28.

MDI was led by James Witham with 13 points, including 3 3-pointers. Spencer Laurendeau had 10 points and Cal Hodgdon and Jameson Weir each had 9 points. Hodgdon had a 3-pointer. The Trojans were 7-10 from the free throw line.

Old Town was led by Brendan Mahaney who finished with 20 points including 3 3-pointrs.Aiden Gromm had 12 points with 2 3-pointers. Emmitt Byther had 12 points. Grayson Thibeault, and Brady Fournier each had a 3-pointer. The Coyotes had 7 3's on the night. Old Town was 12-18 from the free throw line.

Old Town is now 11-0. They will play at Bucksport on Saturday, January 20th at 7 p.m.

MDI is now 5-6. They will host John Bapst on Saturday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. That game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA with the pregame starting at 4:15 p.m. The game will also be broadcast on WDEA Internet Radio, on our FREE downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.
