MDI Boys Beat PI 90-67 [PHOTOS]

The MDI Boy's Basketball Team remained perfect on the season, defeating Presque Isle 90-67 on Wednesday, January 18th in Bar Harbor, in a game that was rescheduled from December .

MDI jumped out to a 23-11 at the end of the 1st Quarter, as Riley Swanson had 11 points, draining 3 3-pointers. Devin Parlatore had 4 points, while Andrew Phelps, Graham Good, Mac Shea and Derek Collin all chipped in with 2 points each for the Trojans. For Presque Isle, Griffin Guerrett had 5 points with a 3-pointer, Grant Stewart was 4-4 from the free throw line and Bradley Kinney had 2 points.

MDI extended their lead to 15 points at the end of the 1st Half, leading 45-30. Swanson had 3 more 3-pointers, giving him 9 points in the Quarter, and 20 points in the Half. Graham Good had 6 points, Russell Kropff had a 3-pointer, and Andrew Phelps and Mac Shea had 2 points each. For Presque Isle, Guerrette had 7 points with a 3-pointer, Jonah Hudson had 8 points, and Jason Dumais and Marcus Ouellette had 2 points each.

MDI led 65-57 at the end of the 3rd Quarter. For MDI Graham Good had 6 points, Andrew Phelps had 5 points with a 3-pointer, Riley Swanson had 3 points and Devin Parlatore, Mac Shea and Russell Kropff had 2 points each and Aaron Snurkowski had a free throw. For the Wildcats, Guerrette had 7 points with a 3-pointer, Marcus Ouellette and Jonah Hudson each had a 3-pointer and Carter Rice and Grant Stewart chipped in with 2 points a piece.

In the 4th Quarter Derek Collin and Graham Good had 5 points with Collin hitting a 3-pointer for MDI, Mac Shea had 4 points, Devin Parlatore had 3 points, Drew Rich had 2 points and Jimmy Carroll had 1 point for the Trojans. For Presque Isle Jason Dumais had 6 points with 2 3-pointers, Jonah Hudson had 6 points, Griffin Guerrette had a 3-pointer, Marcus Ouellette and Grant Stewart had 2 points while Patrick Cash was 1-2 from the free throw line.

For MDI, Riley Swanson had a game high 24 points, while Graham Good had 19 points and Mac Shea had 10 points. The Trojans sank 8 3-pointers and were 7-12 from the free throw line.

Presque Isle was led by Griffin Guerrette with 22 points while Jonah Hudson had 17 points. The Wildcats sank 8 3-pointers and were 11-18 from the free throw line.

MDI, a perfect 12-0, plays host to Central on Friday, January 20th in a Coaches vs. Cancer Game with the pregame starting at 6:45 PM and tip-off at 7 PM on AM 1370 and WDEA Internet Radio.

Presque Isle is 6-5 and plays at Foxcroft Academy on Saturday, January 21st at 4:30 PM.
