MDI Boys Beat Bucksport 62-45 [STATS]

The MDI Boys Basketball Team beat the Bucksport Golden Bucks 62-45 Thursday night, January 4th at Bernard Parady Gymnasium in Bar Harbor.

MID led 13-12 at the end of the 1st Quarter, and then led 30-18 after outscoring Bucksport 17-6 in the 2nd Quarter. The Trojans led 49-33 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

MDI was led by Jameson Weir with 23 points. Cal Hodgdon had 12 points and Spencer Laurendeau 10 points. MDI drained 5 3-pointers in the game with Jarron Biekert sinking 2 3's, James Witham 1 3-pointer and Dylan Stoll and Jacob Shields each dropping a 3-pointer. MDI was 3-5 from the free throw line.

Bucksport was led by Caden Blackwood with 18 points, while Collin McDougal finished with 9 points. Evan Donnell drained 2 3-pointers for the Golden Bucks, with McDougal, Kamryn Webber and Jake Williams each hitting 1 3-pointer. Bucksport was 0-1 from the free throw line.

MDI is now 5-3. They host Old Town on Saturday, January 6th with the game tipping off at 5:30 p.m. (new time! )

Bucksport is 2-5 and will host Foxcroft Academy on Tuesday, January 9th at 6:30 p.m.
