MDI Boys Baseball Beats Bapst 5-2

The MDI Boys' Baseball Team evened their record at 5-5 on Wednesday May 17th, beating the John Bapst Crusaders 5-2 at Husson University.

Matt Perconti pitched the fist 6 innings for the Trojans allowing 8 hits, all singles and 2 runs which were both scored in the 3rd inning. He stuck out 6 and didn't walk anyone. Seth Clark pitched a 1-2-3 7th inning for the Trojans.

MDI scored 3 runs in the 1st inning, and 2 more in the 5th inning.Alden Fournier had 2 hits, including a triple, while Drew Shea had 2 hits including a double. Stanley Grierson, batting lead-off had 2 singles. Same Mitchell, Riley Swanson and Derek Collin all had a single for MDI.

MDI is off until next Tuesday, May 23rd when they will play at Bucksport at 4:30 PM.

John Bapst is now 3-7 and will host Foxcroft Academy on Friday, May 19th at 4:30 PM at Husson University
