Make a Wish Family Coming to Bar Harbor

I wanted to share this story, because if you're like me, you'll be hoping that this 16 year old boy's visit with his family is everything they wish for and more! A 16 year old boy, along with 3 family members is coming to Bar Harbor this Saturday, and staying for 5 nights. His wish, to see a Whale in Maine!

Now the Make a Wish Organization is paying for their rooms at the Acadia Inn in Bar Harbor, and they are all set for the Whale Watching Trip through the Bar Harbor Whale Watch Company. But there is so much more we can do for them as a community, to make their experience in Bar Harbor one they will treasure forever.

Bethany Reese at the Acadia Inn is collecting gift cards to give to the family. They are arriving here Saturday, July 29th and  departing Thursday August 4th, so they need places to eat, maybe some tour certificates, certificate to the movies at The Criterion etc. So far they have a Route 66 Restaurant Gift Card, Thirsty Whale Gift Card, Bar Harbor Inn Terrace Grill Certificate and a Gift Card to Cool as a Moose. They are also going on the Margaret Todd.

The family is very private. I don't know more information about who is traveling with the 16 year old. I do know they are traveling a great distance to come to Maine. So think whale thoughts, and let's hope the whales know this boy is in town, and put on a show for him and his family!
