Update- Chris White the owner of R.L. White has agreeed to designed and build the front porch with handicap accessible ramp!

When you need help, you turn to your friends and neighbors. I have always been amazed at how Downeast Maine pulls together to help someone in need, and here's an opportunity for someone to be a hero to a local teacher. Kimberly Grey a teacher at the Conners Emerson School in Bar Harbor needs your help!

Kimberly's husband is having his leg amputated on Wednesday, November 22nd, at Eastern Maine Medical Center because of complications with end stage renal disease. Their house in Town Hill is not handicap accessible, as you can see  with the 5 step stairs going into the house.

She can get the lumber, if she knows what to get, but it sure would be nice to get that donated. What we need is a carpenter to build the handicap accessible ramp, and to do it soon! Do you possibly know of someone or an organization that can do this?

Kimberly's house is located in Town Hill. If you know of someone that can help, please call her son Jordan at 207-610-0776 and leave a message.

As a father with a son in a wheelchair, I know how important this is. Thank you!
