Japanese Hibachi Restaurant Coming to Former Denny’s in Ellsworth?

There's a sign at the former Denny's Restaurant in Ellsworth and people driving by are doing double takes and their mouths are watering! The sign says

Now when I spoke with the Ellsworth Code Enforcement Office Tuesday morning, April 26th they told me that they hadn't issued any permits. There are no building permits, or sign permits that have been issued as of yet! That doesn't mean that it's happening or not happening, but that nothing official has been done. The owners will need to have a construction permit to begin renovations, which you would certainly expect, if it in fact is going to be a Japanese Hibachi Steakhouse similar to Kobe in Bangor!
