Silver Alert Canceled – Missing Surry Man Located
A Silver Alert for a missing Surry man has been canceled and the man has been located in Connecticut.
Police Believe the Missing Man May Be Headed Out of State
Franklin McCormick, 84, of Surry suffers from dementia and lives on Toddy Pond Road in Surry. Officials say he may have been heading to West Virginia but added that he doesn't know anyone there.

Residents are Encouraged to Look for McCormick's Silver Rav-4
Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Aaron Turcotte say McCormick was last seen on May 20, 2024. It's believed that he may be driving a silver Toyota Rav-4 with Maine registration 9563KH. McCormick is a white male, 5'8" tall, and 145 pounds, with brown hair, and green eyes.
UPDATE: The Hancock County Sheriff's Office reports that Mr. McCormick has been located.
