Daylight Savings Time Begins Sunday March 10th at 2 a.m. [VIDEO]
Don't forget this... Saturday night, before going to bed, you'll need to turn your clocks ahead 1 hour, as Daylight Savings Time begins on Sunday, March 10th at 2 a.m. It's time to Spring Forward!
Thanks to not being able to sleep well through the night, I've been awake at 2 a.m. when the clocks move forward, or backwards when Daylight Savings Time ends. It's pretty cool, but hopefully I won't see it again Sunday morning
The one big benefit is that we will have more hours of sunlight! With the crazy electric bills, any extra time we don't need lights is a good thing right? As a matter of fact on Sunday, March 31st, sunset in Bar Harbor will be at 7 p.m.!

And while you're moving the clocks ahead, don't forget to change the batteries in your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. But, for heaven's sake, don't take the batteries out, and think that you'll put new batteries in on Sunday afternoon when you go to the store! Older batteries are better than no batteries! One of the most tragic things to read after a house fire is that the smoke detectors weren't working!
