Islander Honored

It's always great to see someone local honored, whether it's statewide, regionally or nationally. It's extra special when it's someone within your industry. Congratulations go out to our friends at the Mount Desert Islander!

The Mount Desert Islander was honored as the Best Small Weekly Newspaper in all of New England Saturday at the New England Newspaper and Press Association annual meeting in Boston.

On a personal note, I know Earl Brechlin and many of the great reporters at the Mount Desert Islander. They are devoted to the area that they cover, and it shows!
