Hughes Added to the East Lobster Bowl Team

Former Ellsworth Eagle Charlie Hughes has been added to the East Team for the Lobster Bowl on Saturday, July 20th.

According to the Portland Press Herald Hughes is 1 of 5 late additions to the East Roster. The 30th Annual Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl will be played on July 20th at Thornton Academy in Saco, Maine

Hughes joins MDI's Elijah Joyce and Gilbert Isaacs as well as Ellsworth's Javon Williams who were selected to the East squad

This High School Senior All-Star football game is a Kora Shrine sponsored event where 100% of the net proceeds from the game are for the benefit of the 22 Shrine Hospitals for Children across the US, Canada, and Mexico. The student athletes are high school seniors who have just graduated and are about to enter college. They are nominated to play in this prestigious game by their coaches and selected by a committee from the Maine Athletics Association
