Before heading out to eat, some patrons check the Michelin Guide for fine dining and top-rated chefs.  Soon, one of those big-city highly-rated chefs will open a restaurant in downeast Maine, and he says it will be affordable!

According to the Portland Press Herald, chef Ryan McCaskey, a two-starred Michelin chef from his work at Acadia, a restaurant in Chicago, will open a new restaurant at 27 Main Street in Stonington called Acadia House Provisions.

The new restaurant that's due to open later this month will have both inside and outdoor seating.  McCaskey, who summered in Deer Isle when he was young and worked at Goose Cove Lodge, and now owns a home at Crockett Cove, will keep the place open until October.

Don't be scared of those "big city prices", because in the article the chef says he expects folks to be able to score a beer and a burger for lunch at about $20, and lobster dinner for about $30.  He will also have some of the finest wines in the area available as well.

We can't wait to check it out!
