High Surf Advisory for Downeast Maine Thursday-Friday

The National Weather Service has issued a High Surf Advisory for Coastal Hancock and Coastal Washington Counties from 5AM Thursday, September 13th through 2PM on Friday September 14th.

In addition to the surf height which could be around 5 feet, there may be strong rip currents.

People should stay away from rocks above the water as waves can easily sweep people into the ocean.
