Here’s What You Need to Know About Fireworks in Bar Harbor Tonight, July 5th
With the postponement of the fireworks, from Sunday, July 4th to Monday, July 5th in Bar Harbor, here are some of the essential things you need to know!
- Fireworks over Frenchman's Bay - Approximately 9:15 p.m. The best viewing is in Agamont Park
- Please do NOT bring your dog to the fireworks. Dogs and fireworks do NOT mix well.
- Parking is NOT free on July 5th, like it was on July 4th. Make sure you feed the meters or kiosks or you WILL be ticketed. There is free parking after 8 p.m. so just put in enough money to get you until 8 p.m.
- The Bar Harbor Police Department will be closing the parking lot at the top of Newport Drive (Agamont Park) starting at 12 noon on Monday July 5th for the fireworks. No one should be parked on the street from Agamont Park down to West Street after 12 noon. Cars WILL be towed. Don't come back and have your day/evening ruined because your vehicle was towed!
