Happy 100th Birthday Ruth Valenzuela!
We know that you should never divulge a lady's age, but when you're turning 100 years old, you have to acknowledge that and celebrate it! Ruth Valenzuela of Bar Harbor will turn 100 years old on Monday, May 17th!

Ruth was 1 of 3 children born to Mable and Cleo Cannon. She is a native of Neehah Wisconsin.
She served in the Women's Army Corp in 1945 and married Victor Valenzuela in 1956. Victor predeceased her in 2003
She attended Oberlin College and graduated from the Conservatory of Music in 1939. She also graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1944 with a Bachelor of Philosophy in Labor Economics. She also receiver her Master of Social Work from Columbia University in New York in 1951.
Ruth moved to Maine in 2011.
