Executive Director of the SPCA of Hancock County, Nicole Rediker, says that Duncan would be best suited for a family who loves to adventure and spend time outside.

"Because of his hound genetics and young age, Duncan needs an active family that can also teach him some basic puppy manners. He has tons of energy to burn but he is also a snuggle bug at times. Duncan loves being with people and he really enjoys riding in the car. And at about 45 pounds, he’s the perfect size for a travel companion!"

Rediker says Duncan will need someone to take the lead, to teach him how to be a well-behaved and confident canine.

"We have noticed that some new things can make him a little nervous, so we believe that he would do best with a family that can give him the confidence needed to face new situations like meeting other dogs. Due to this reason, Duncan would do best in a home without younger children."
