Hancock County First Responders Pay Respects to Fallen State Trooper
Early Wednesday morning, April 3rd a Maine State Detective was killed in the line of duty on Interstate 95, while attending to a disabled vehicle The outpouring of respect and honor from Hancock County's first responders was evident on Facebook throughout Wednesday.
Many updated their profile pictures to a Maine State Police shield with a black mourning band across it.

Governor Janet Mills directed that the United States and State of Maine flags be flown at half-staff statewide immediately for the remainder of today, April 3, 2019 in honor of the Maine State Trooper who was struck and killed in the line of duty this morning in a crash on Interstate 95 in Hampden. Governor Mills has also directed that the flags be lowered on the day of the trooper's funeral service.
