Bridge work will begin on or around Monday June 3rd on the Hancock Country Bridge which carriers Route 3 over the Mt. Desert Narrows between Trenton and Bar Harbor.

Painting will be done by a company called Monoko out of Tarpron Springs, Florida. I reached out to the Maine Department of Transportation to ask about traffic flow, and how long the project was going to take and they responded

The contractor will begin with a few short night shifts to re-stripe the road and setup traffic control, and they plan to perform their paint work during the day. They anticipate being complete by July 1st. Additionally, they will be maintaining 2 way traffic on 12 foot wide lanes at all times with the exception of the night shifts in which they are setting up traffic control. Night work will be handled with flaggers and alternating one way traffic.

Maine DOT also said they may be working on the bridge next week  (week of June 3rd) to do maintenance on the bridge joints. They expect their work to take 4 night shifts.
