Graves Named Bar Harbor’s New Deputy Town Clerk
A familiar face will soon be joining the municipal ranks as Liz Graves will be assuming the position of Deputy Town Clerk in Bar Harbor effective Thursday, September 10th.

Graves has been a part of the Mount Desert Islander staff since 2013. She has covered sports and maritime topics as well as the Bar Harbor beat including government and police. She was the managing editor from August 24, 2017 through the end of 2019.
She has won Maine, New England and national newspaper association awards for news, editorial and arts writing, as well as for photography and video.
Graves is married to Art Gowie and they live in Bar Harbor.
