Here is the latest update from the General Assistance Administrator for the City of Ellsworth

"Effective March 16th, 2020 The City of Ellsworth General Assistance program will be conducting phone interviews only with scheduled clients rather than seeing them in the office. If you currently have a General Assistance appointment, please be prepared to answer your phone at that time.  We will conduct phone interviews and any paperwork needed for your appointment can be e-mailed to or dropped off at 1 City Hall Plaza. There are drop off and pick up boxes in our closed in entry way on Church Street (the Police side entrance) of City Hall. Any approved General Assistance paperwork will be sent in the mail.  To schedule an appointment or any questions, please call Tina at 669-6630."
