Flooding on the Island Saturday Morning

If you are out driving on the Island Saturday morning, January 13th please be aware that there is flooding at several locations in Bar Harbor as a result of the warm temperatures, heavy rain and snow melt..

According to the Bar Harbor Police Department Norway Drive and Old Bar Harbor Road have been closed by the Bar Harbor Highway Department due to severe flooding in the roadway. Other locations with heavy flooding are Eagle Lake Road near MDI High School, Lower Main Street, Crooked Road, Old Norway Drive and Route 3 near the Tarn.

A Flood Warning is in effect until 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 13th.

Please use extreme caution when driving as there are likely other locations with standing water in the roadway.
