Flash! In the Pans Steel Band Street Dance Monday August 19
Ellsworth Harbor Park will come alive with the Caribbean, steel drum music of Flash! In the Pans at a coastal summertime street dance on Monday, August 19, 2019 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm. The festive, family-friendly event will begin at 6:00 pm with a line dancing demonstration in the park’s main gazebo, followed by the distinctive sounds of Flash! In The Pans at 7 pm, with dancing until 9:00 pm. The rain location will be at Big Cats Event Center located at 163 Bar Harbor Road in Trenton.
A variety of activities and food options will be on hand at the event. The Harris Harborside Takeout will be open, offering a wide variety of menu options from full takeout meals to snack food, and the Darling’s Ice Cream truck will be onsite with plenty of ice cream treats, and freshly-made popcorn will be available as well.
There will a be a Silent Auction with a wide variety of gift certificates from Pyramid Jewelers, Rooster Brothers, including a top-tier gift certificate from Acadia Scenic Flights for a 2-hour flight for 2, and many more. Stanley Subaru will be sponsoring a raffle for a brand new Piaggio Fly 50 scooter which will be onsite for viewing and tickets will be available for purchase as well. This raffle is being offered as a part of the Stanley Subaru’s 20th anniversary celebration, with several community area nonprofits benefiting with each nonprofit keeping 100% of their ticket sales, including the Beth Wright Center.
Tickets will also be on sale for a very special hand-made quilt, ‘Threads from the Walk For Life’ commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Beth C. Wright Walk For Life. The quilt made of from t-shirts from all previous Walks For Life will be raffled off at the 2020 annual Beth C. Wright Walk For Life on May 16, 2020 in Addison, Maine.
Proceeds from the evenings event will be donated to the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center to assist them in their mission of helping those in the community who have been affected by cancer in both Hancock and Washington Counties. The Beth C.
