Who wanted it? It's not even officially winter yet, as winter begins Thursday December 21st but the first snowstorm of the 2017-18 "Winter Season" is set to hit us on Saturday, December 9th.

The National Weather Service in Caribou is calling for a total snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches of snow Downeast in the Ellsworth-Bar Harbor area and 4 to 8 inches of snow in the Bangor area.

Remember it normally takes 1 to 2 snowstorms for everyone to "remember how to drive in snow". Leave a little extra distance between you and the person ahead of you. Don't stomp on the brakes. Drive a little slower than you would normally drive and be sure to drive with your headlights on and clean off your windows before driving.
