Final Carryout Cafe of the Season Thursday May 20th at Neighborhood House in Northeast Harbor

The final Neighborhood House's Carryout Cafe of the season will take place this Thursday, May 20th! As always, the suggested donation is $7, and seniors are invited to join “on the house.” Lunch is served from 11:30 to 1 p.m.

On the menu this week is a barbecue theme, with hot dogs, cole slaw, whoopie pie, chips and drink

The service window in the Neighborhood House's kitchen will serve as the “takeout window” where you can pick up your carryout meal. Everyone is asked to space out accordingly in line and wear a cloth face covering while inside.

For years, the Neighborhood House's Community Cafe has been a highlight of Thursdays, as residents have been able to gather for a great meal and a little community conversation every other Thursday in the winter. Because of COVID-19, organizers have instead decided to transform the Community Cafe to the Carryout Cafe for 2020-21. Hopefully next fall and winter everything will return to "normal"
