Father Emile Dube Returning to Ellsworth/Bar Harbor/Bucksport
The Roman Catholic Bishop of Maine, Robert Deeley, announced on April 16th that Father Emile Dube, who was the parochial vicar at the Parish of the Transfiguration of the Lord, Stella Maris Parish, and St. Joseph Parish from October 2014 through June 2015 is returning as pastor effective June 29, 2018.
The Parish of the Transfiguration of the Lord includes Holy Redeemer Church in Bar Harbor; St. Peter Church in Manset; St. Ignatius Church in Northeast Harbor; Our Lady Star of the Sea Church on Little Cranberry Island. Stella Maris Parish includes St. Vincent de Paul Church in Bucksport, Our Lady of Holy Hope Church in Castine, St. Mary Star of the Sea Church in Stonington. St. Joseph Parish includes St. Joseph Church in Ellsworth, the Blue Hill Mission in Blue Hill, Our Lady of the Lake Church in Dedham and St. Margaret Church in Winter Harbor.
Father Skehan, who ihas been the current pastor, since 2014 of the Parish of the Transfiguration of the Lord, Stella Maris Parish, and St. Joseph Parish has been appointed as the pastor of St. Michael Parish (St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Augusta; St. Augustine Church, Augusta; St. Joseph Church, Gardiner; Sacred Heart Church, Hallowell; St. Denis Church, Whitefield; St. Francis Xavier Church, Winthrop)
