Ellsworth’s Ella Montgomery and Kiera Springer Named to Varsity Maine’s Girls’ All-State Swim Team

Congratulations to Ellsworth High School's Ella Montgomery and Kiera Springer who were named to Varsity Maine's Girl' All-State Swim Team.

Montgomery, a sophomore was the Class B runner-up in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke. Her time was 59.99 in the backstroke was the 3rd fastest in the state this year. She also won the PVC butterfly with a time of 57.80 which was the 15th fastest all-time in Maine's history.

Springer was the first athlete selected as the both the PVC Swimmer and PVC Diver of the Year. Kiera won the Class B Diving Championship with a score of 399.50, ranking 12th in Maine's history. She swam the backstroke leg of the State Champion 200 medley team, and placed 2nd in the 500 freestyle.
