Ellsworth vs. MDI Unified Basketball Game Tuesday March 1st

The Ellsworth Boy's Basketball Team plays for the Gold Ball on Friday night, March 4th at 8:45 p.m. at the Cross Insurance Center. On Tuesday, March 1st at 3:30 p.m.the Ellsworth Unified Basketball Team takes on MDI at Katsiafticas Gymnasium in Ellsworth.

Both games are equally important. When I compare a Gold Ball Game to a Unified Game, please don't think I am any way minimizing the importance or the hard work that the Ellsworth Boys have put into getting to the Championship Game. Rather, I am telling you that to the Unified Athletes their game is as important to them, their player partners and to the parents and fans as Friday night's Gold Ball Game

I hope you will go to the game on Tuesday at Katsiaficas Gymnasium. I will be there broadcasting the game on the Ellsworth High School You Tube Channel. The game will last about  hour. It will be the ABSOLUTELY BEST thing you will do all day tomorrow! If it's like a typical Unified Game you will laugh and cry at the same time, and you will spend all game with a smile on your face.

We will treat it just we treat any of the MDI and Ellsworth games that we have done on the radio all season long. We will have photos of the game. We will have a box score and stats on the website Tuesday night. To do anything less minimizes the hard work and efforts of the Unified Athletes and their playing partners.

Come cheer for both teams Tuesday afternoon. Just being out there and playing they're both winners. And Friday night, cheer for the Ellsworth Boy's Basketball Team as they try and bring the Gold Ball Downeast!
