UPDATE - Given the expected large crowd, the meeting is being moved from the Ellsworth City Hall Council Chambers to the Cafeteria at the Ellsworth Middle School. The Meeting will be held at 6 p.m.
The Ellsworth School Board will host a special meeting on Thursday August 26th at 6 p.m.
The number 1 item under new business is Discussion of Mask Policy for Start of School.
The meeting will be broadcast on Spectrum Channel 1303 in Ellsworth and livestreamed to the Ellsworth School Department and City of Ellsworth You Tube Channels.
The School Board has 2 goals in mind
- To keep the students, staff and faculty safe
- To keep students in-school with in-person 5 day a week instruction.
There's no question that masking has divided Ellsworth as it has most other communities. Please if you are coming to speak at the meeting, do so respectfully. Don't raise your voice, don't make threats. You can advocate for your position without being disrespectful. Children and teens are watching you. Make them proud of you as you speak.
