Ellsworth Minor Team Wins District 1 Championship

Congratulations to the Ellsworth Minor League Baseball Team who won the District 1 Championship at Calais Monday night, July 12th in a shoot-out, winning 23-22.

The Ellsworth Team lost to Calais in the opening game and had to advance through the loser's bracket. They beat the Acadians, Coastal, Machias, then Calais on Saturday and again on Monday night to win the District 1 Championship.

There is no State Tourney, so their season is over. Congratulations on a great season!
