Circle your calendars for Saturday, December 6th! That will be the day for the 45th Annual Downtown Ellsworth Christmas Parade, to be followed by the Annual City Tree Lighting!

As in the past year, this year's Christmas Parade will be a Parade of Lights and kick off at 4 p.m. The Tree Lighting will take place at the conclusion of the Parade.

This year's theme is Christmas in Whoville!

Parade participants are encouraged to decorate their floats/vehicles with Christmas lights and other light up decorations and get creative, while keeping with the theme! Remember the one true Santa will be appearing at the end of the parade. There may be as many Grinches as your heart desires!

Line up for the parade will begin at 3 p.m. at the Ellsworth Elementary Middle School and in the parking lot behind the Mill Mall off of State Street. The parade will travel down State Street to School Street across School Street, turning onto Main Street, traveling to the lower light and then back up State Street to the Middle School/Mill Mall area.

Parade Organizer Kimberly Fitch encourages all community and civic groups, churches, businesses, school and any entertainment to register to be part of the parade and join the festivities of Christmas in Whoville.
