Ellsworth Baseball Shuts Out Presque Isle 7-0 In Class B North Prelim [PHOTOS]

The Ellsworth Baseball Team shut out the Presque Isle Wildcats 7-0 Monday afternoon on a very hot, hazy and humid afternoon at Ellsworth High School.

David Baugh pitched a complete game for the Eagles, striking out 6. He allowed just 2 singles, one in the 2nd and one in the 7th inning and didn't walk a batter.

Ellsworth score 1 run in the 3d inning and then 4 runs in the 5th inning, before adding 2 insurance runs in the 6th inning.

Baugh had 2 singles and scored a run.

Hunter Curtis had a single and double

Peter Keblinsky had a single

Nate Smith had a single, driving in 2 runs.

Ellsworth had 5 stolen bases with Hunter Curtis and Miles Palmer swiping 2 bases each and Miles Palmer stealing a base.

Ellsworth, the 2nd seed, will now host Oceanside on Thursday, June 10th at 4 p.m. in the Quarterfinals
