Ellsworth 9-10 Softball Beats Coastal 9-2 Play for Division Championship Sunday

The Ellsworth 9-10 Softball Team is just 1 win away from the Division 1 Championship and the right to play in the State Championship in Glenburne, after defeating Coastal 9-2, in Blue Hill on Friday, June 29th. The Ellsworth All-Stars will play the winner of the Machias-Coastal game, on Sunday July 1st. Ellsworth 2-0 only needs to win the game, in the double elimination tournament. Should they lose there would be a winner take all 2nd game. Machias and Coastal will play Saturday, June 30th.

In Friday night's thunderstorm delayed game Anna Stevens had 10 strikeouts in 6 innings for Ellsworth.  Jayden Sullivan had 3 hits, with a triple, double and single. Elizabeth Boles and Kaylee Bagley had 2 singles, Sydney Mason had a double. Callie Chase, and Brielle Grindle each had a single for Ellsworth

The Ellsworth Team is coached by Josh Stevens assisted by Steve Sullivan and Ron Bean.  Team members include Elizabeth Boles, Anna Stevens, Lily Bean, Jayden Sullivan, Natale Jagels, Savannah Edgecomb, Callie Chase, Camryn Blugh, Brielle Grindle, Kaylee Bagley, Lily Alley and Sydney Mason.
