EHS Softball Falls in Opener to Bucksport 5-2 [PHOTOS]
The Ellsworth Eagles Softball Team fell to Bucksport 5-2 on a cold Thursday afternoon, April 19th at Ellsworth.
The Eagles jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st. Senior Katelynn Bagley hit a line drive single to left center. Freshman Kayla Duhaime moved Bagley to second based with a single to left. A wild pitch moved both Bagley and Duhaime to 3rd and 2nd bases. Senior Mariah Young then drove both in with a 2 RBI single to right center.
In the top of the 4th inning Bucksport tied the score and then added the winning run in the top of the 5th and added 2 insurance runs in the top of the 7th.
Ellsworth now 0-1 will play at Washington Academy on Thursday, April 26th at 4:30 PM
Bucksport is 2-0 and will play host to Dexter Saturday, April 21 at 1 PM.
