
Detour No More!
Acadia National Park Rangers announced that of 2:30PM on Tuesday, November 20th that the construction detour through the Park via the Paradise Hill section on the Park Loop Road has been discontinued , now that 2 way traffic on Route 3 has been resumed.
According to the Maine Department of Transportation contractors are working to shape and loam shoulders from Acadia National Park to the Bluffs. They will also be installing new guardrail in that area as well as installing new road signs along Route 3. All work is subject to weather conditions.
The reconstruction of Route 3 continues to be on schedule. MaineDOT has maintained access to all businesses and attractions along Route 3 as the project has progressed through its second summer, as planned. The project is expected to be complete in the spring of 2019.
