5 members of the DownEast Family YMCA Dolphins competed at the YMCA Long Course nationals at the University of Maryland, July 30th-August 3rd. Competing against over a thousand other swimmers from YMCA's were Rachel Hand, Sean Hill, Camden Holmes, Nick Partridge and Sam Pelletier.

Camden Holmes, who will be attending the University of Maine in September placed 234e in the 100 Fly with a time of 58.61, 15th in the 100 freestyle with a time of 53.70 and 4th in the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.88

The boys, (Sean Hill, Camden Holmes, Nick Partridge and Sam Pelletier) placed 23rd in the 400 Medley Relay with a time of 4:07:33 and 23rd in the 200 Medley Relay with a time  of 1:51:53

During the competition, the DEFY Dolphins broke 6 Maine YMCA records!

  •  Camden Holmes :- 50 Freestyle 23.76 leading off the 200 Freestyle Relay
  • Nick Partridge - 50 Freestyle 27.02, 50 Breast 31.59, 100 Breast 1:09.55 and 200 Breast
  • Boys 400 Medley Relay - The Team of, Hill/Holmes/Partridge/Pelletier broke the record with a time of 4:07.33
