There will be a Harbor Committee meeting tonight, July 10th  in Southwest Harbor, at 6:30 PM at the Fire Station. The meeting place has been moved to the Fire Station in anticipation of a large crowd.

On the agenda, is Item 3, "Cruise Ship Discussion". A representative from the "Pearl Mist" will be on hand according to the Harbormaster, Adam Thurston. According to Google, the Pearl Mist travels with 70 crew and 210 passengers.

The Harbor Committee had recommended to the Selectmen at a previous meeting not to allow cruise ships in the Harbor, citing concerns about massive trap losses to local fisherman.
