COVID Cancels Acadia Towing’s Tipsy Taxi Service New Year’s Eve

You've heard it before, "Don't Drink and Drive!". For the 1st time in 13 years Acadia Towing, on Mount Desert Island will not be able to offer their Tipsy Taxi service on New Year's Eve because of COVID restrictions

For 12 years, Acadia Towing has been offering free rides home to any New Year's Eve celebrators on Mount Desert Island that were impaired or maybe just not sure if they should drive. George Seavey told me that they tried every way to figure out how to make it work this year, but they just can't safely give anyone a ride in the cab of their tow trucks because of COVID safety protocols but looks forward to offering this service for New Year's Eve on December 31, 2021.
