Cool Off at the Library and YMCA on Tuesday June 24
There are heat advisories in effect for Tuesday, June 24 from 11 am to 8 pm. It is going to be extremely hot, with highs around 90 and the head index (feels like temperature) up to 103 this afternoon in Downeast Maine.
Yesterday we posted some cooling options, but one of the glaring absences were the local public libraries! All the libraries have air-conditioning and as a bonus, you can sign up your child for the summer reading contests, and/or check out a book that will keep you entertained! Plus you can pick up one of their calendars and find out free activities that are happening.
