April 22nd UPDATE - The scoreboard has arrived and will hopefully be installed before the next regularly scheduled game against Washington Academy on May 1st! Through the generosity of the local community and businesses, the Ellsworth High School Sports Boosters have raised $4100 but they still need $3900! Here's how you can help!

The Ellsworth High School Sport's Boosters need your help! They are committed to purchasing a new scoreboard for the Baseball Team and fixing the scoreboard for the Softball Team. The scoreboard for Baseball originally installed in 1994 is no longer compliant as the MPA has changed the rules and a pitch count needs to be displayed .

The Softball scoreboard has had a wire accidentally cut, and is no longer operational. It costs approximately $8000 to replace the baseball scoreboard, add the pitch count board and fix the softball scoreboard.

Ellsworth High School and the Sport's Boosters have received donations and commitments from Pat's Pizza, Gilman Electric, the Down East Family YMCA, Gardner Builders, as well as from some individuals.

The Sport's Boosters have now designed a fundraiser "Buy A Bulb".  Your $20 donation gives you the ownership of a bulb on the scoreboard! Of course you can donate more than $20 if you want!

Checks may be written to Ellsworth High School Athletics and mailed to the school with "Scoreboard" in the memo line. For more information you can contact Josh Frost, the Ellsworth High School Athletic Director at 667-4722, Dan Curtis the Ellsworth Boy's Baseball Coach at 263-6164 or Shannon Curtis at 667-3910.
