The Bucksport Girl's Soccer Team improved to 2-1 on the season with a 14-0 win over Sumner Memorial High School on Friday afternoon in Bucksport.

Senior Tine Hjelle started the scoring for the Golden Bucks, tallying her 1st of 4 goals with just 15 seconds elapsed.

Junior Hannah Ashmore scored two quick goals in the 1st half, just a minute apart, scoring with 36:43 and 35:43 remaining. Both goals were assisted by Hjelle. For the afternoon Ashmore ended with 4 goals.

Bucksport also received 1st Half goals from Junior Cassy Coombs, who had 3 assists in the game, as well as freshman Madison Cyr and Ashmore .

The score was 6-0 at the end of the 1st Half.

In the 2nd Half, Senior Emily Hunt scored twice, both with driving headers into the goal, one off of a corner kick from freshman Zoe Hosford. Hosford also added a goal, with an outside shot as well as another assist with her corner kick to senior Victoria Rich who found the back of the net.

Sumner's goalie Kala Young had 10 saves on 20 shots in the 1st Half, and Gabriella Richardson has 12 saves on 25 shots in the 2nd Half.

Bucksport's Bree Coombs didn't face a shot in goal.

Bucksport, now 2-1 travels to Washington Academy on Monday, September 13th at 4 PM.
