Red Sox to Play Tigers Tuesday March 10th at 1 p.m.

The Boston Red Sox will take on the Detroit Tigers, Tuesday, March 10th at 1 p.m. on AM 1370 WDEA.

Sonny Gray will make his 2nd start for Boston against the Tigers.  In his 1st appearance of the Spring against Minnesota on February 28th he went 1.1 innings allowing 3 hits and 2 runs in 1.1 innings. He walked 2 and struck out 1.

Also pitching will be Aroldis Chapman, making his 4th appearance. He's pitched 2.2 innings, allowing 2 hits and striking out 5 and walking 1. He hasn't allowed a run.

Justin Slaten will make his 4th appearance. He's pitched 2.2 innings allowing 3 runs, and 4 hits, striking out 4 and walking 1.

Wyatt Olds is also scheduled to pitch. This will be his 7th appearance. He's pitched 5 innings allowing 3 runs and 4 hits, striking out 6 and walking 4.

Yesterday the Red Sox beat the Phillies 5-3 with Garrett Crochet picking up the win. He went 4.2 innings allowing 5 hits and 3 runs, striking out 2. He didn't walk a batter.

Nick Sogard hit a 3-run homer in the 3rd inning for Boston. Trevor Story was 2-4 with a double.

The Red Sox are off on Wednesday, March 11th, for the 1st time since Spring Training games began on February 21st.  They will play Minnesota on March 12th at 1 p.m.

Boston opens the Regular Season in Cincinnati in 16 days, against the Reds on March 26th. Garrett Crochet is scheduled to pitch for Boston.
