The Boston Red Sox' 3 game winning streak came to a crashing halt, as the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Red Sox 4-1, in Baltimore on Monday night, May 6th.
The Red Sox were held to just 3 hits. Josh Smith making his 1st appearance for Boston gave up a grand slam to Jonathan Villar in the 2nd inning.
Smith lasted 3.1 innings giving up 5 hits, and the 4 runs. He struck out 3 and walked 2. Heath Hembree pitched .2 innings and then Ryan Weber making his 1st appearance for the Red Sox, recalled when David Price went on the injured reserve list threw 4.0 scoreless innings allowing 3 hits and striking out 4.
