The Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce received approval from the Bar Harbor Town Council at the Tuesday, May 4th Council Meeting to coordinate the 4th of July Parade and Fireworks.

In a letter to the Bar Harbor Town Council, Alf Anderson, the Executive Director of the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce stated that

"The Chamber's plan of action, is to take the necessary steps between now and July 4th to offer these events with all necessary safety measures in place. In accordance with the State of Maine's protocols, we will encourage all attendees to wear masks in crowded spaces (whether indoors or outdoors), maintain a safe distance from groups outside their household and practice good hygiene."

The Chamber will NOT be holding the usual concert at the Town Pier in the afternoon hours, leading up to the fireworks display.

Groups wishing to take part in the Parade should contact the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce

Stefanie Joy Muscat  the President of the Bar Harbor/MDI Rotary Club told us that there will be a decision the middle of next week (May 13thish) regarding the status of the Seafood Festival and Blueberry Pancake Breakfast and other festivities on the Ballfields.
