Traffic Disruptions On Mount Desert Street In Bar Harbor

The Town of Bar Harbor is encouraging you to avoid parts of Mount Desert Street on Friday, May 8th as traffic will be interrupted for 2 separate projects.

Mount Desert Street will be closed to through traffic from 6 am to 6 pm. Traffic will be detoured via Spring Street and Shannon Way while a Town contractor replace a curb stop for a water service line.
Additionally the east bound lane of Mount Desert Street near the Jesup Memorial Library will be closed from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for other construction activities. Flaggers will direct traffic around the library work zone.
