Bar Harbor Town Budget Passes in Less than a Hour on June 30th
It took less than a hour for 90 voters to pass the Bar Harbor Town Budget on Tuesday, June 30th. Because of COVID-19, the Financial Town Meeting was held "drive-in" style at MDI High School at 7 p.m. on a misty evening.
Bill Ferm was elected moderator and in a rare show of unity, all items presented were unanimously endorsed by the Warrant Committee 15-0 and by the Town Council 7-0.
There was one amendment from the floor (or parking lot to be exact), and that was introduced by Ted Koffman to add $5000 to the municipal budget for Island Housing Trust which passed.
Also elected to the Warrant Committee were
- Juie Berberian
