In a further sign of "normalcy" and that COVID has reduced it's hold on Maine, the Bar Harbor Town Band has announced that they will resume their free performances in the Bandstand at the Village Green in Bar Harbor effective Monday, July 19th.

The performances will take place every Monday and Thursday through August 19th. In their Facebook post, the Bar Harbor Town Band did say that these performances would be a combination performance/rehearsal so there some stopping, starting and repeating but still lots of fun! Performances will be done by 9 p.m.

It will have been 23 months since the Bar Harbor Town Band performed on the Village Green, as their last performance was August 26, 2019. To get you ready, here's a video of their July 30, 2018 performance

Don't they sound great! It will be fantastic to welcome them back! Imagine a beautiful night, a light breeze and eating ice cream! Sounds like a perfect night!

LOOK: Stunning vintage photos capture the beauty of America's national parks

Today these parks are located throughout the country in 25 states and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The land encompassing them was either purchased or donated, though much of it had been inhabited by native people for thousands of years before the founding of the United States. These areas are protected and revered as educational resources about the natural world, and as spaces for exploration.
